Reflections on the Fifth Anniversary of SCRAWL
The SCRAWL exhibition in the Spring of 2011 was the brainchild of Martha Lewis, an artist, and curator at Artspace in New Haven, CT, who had the idea to turn over 5000 square feet of gallery space to forty-eight artists for a massive game of "exquisite corpse."

These two pieces will be part of an exhibition and auction of imaginary album covers entitled SOUND & VISION. The first work utilizes a large CNC device that I've been working on based on the MPCNC design created by Ryan Zellars. I'll be posting some pictures and videos of the multitool in the coming weeks.
The SOUND & VISION exhibit is a visual playlist created by artists, in support of two of the region’s cultural venues: WPKN-FM, and The Institute Library. Each artist responded to a call to create an imaginary album cover.
The exhibit will be on view at The Institute Library during the month of October. The entire event will culminate with a party, silent auction results, and live WPKN broadcast on Saturday, October 31st.
Each artist was also asked to provide a "mix-tape" of five songs to accompany their work. It was tough to limit the list to five so I just picked some music that I have been listening to a lot in the studio. Here is my songlist:
Better Get It In Your Soul - Charles Mingus
A Shot In The Dark - John Zorn
Mladic - Godspeed You! Black Emperor
At the End We Listen - Geo Wyeth
Nuvole bianche - Ludovico Einaudi
Industrial Edit - Pen plotted CNC on DuraLar and photogram on rice paper.
Glam Edit - Pen plotted CNC on DuraLar, inkjet print on film and glitterboard.
